About localconfig.com
Short, ready-to-use config files and clear fixes for the things developers and home users get stuck on: config files, localhost, and router login pages.
What you will find
- Config generators for nginx, Docker, SSH, Git, cron, systemd, Apache, .env files and more. Type your values and get the file.
- Localhost help: what runs on each port, how to open it, and how to fix “refused to connect”.
- Router help: find your router address, log in, change the Wi-Fi password and fix pages that will not open.
- Free tools: subnet calculator, cron explainer, chmod calculator, JSON formatter, Base64, hash and UUID tools and more.
How pages are made
- Every page names what it is for (for example Ubuntu with Apache, or Windows) and shows when it was last checked.
- Where a manufacturer or ISP publishes the answer, we use that and link to it.
- Where we could only find forum reports, the page says “commonly reported” and points you to the label on your device.
- Each page lists the errors people hit most, with the fix, so you do not need a second search.
Your privacy
Generators and tools run in your browser. The values you type, including passwords and keys, are not sent to this site. There are no accounts and no sign-in. Read the privacy page for the full detail.
Images, brands and trademarks
- Every picture on this site is an original illustration drawn for localconfig.com. We do not use product photos, brand logos or screenshots of other companies’ software.
- Brand and product names, such as router makers, internet providers and software, belong to their owners. We use them only to say which product a page is about. This site is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by them.
What we will never do
- Ask for your router password or any other login.
- Claim to be official documentation for a product. Always check your device’s manual if you are unsure.
