How to log in to your Tata Play Fiber router

Connect your phone or computer to the router by Wi-Fi or a LAN cable.
Open a browser and type http://192.168.1.254 in the address bar, not in the search box.
Enter the username shown on the label and the password. The usual default is tsbb@123. If it fails, try the last 8 characters of the MAC address on the label.
To change the Wi-Fi password, use the Tata Play Fiber mobile app: open More and follow the Wi-Fi option.
Change the admin password on the router if you still use the default.

If it will not open

192.168.1.1 does not open the Tata router: Use 192.168.1.254, which is the address its own routers use.
The default password is rejected: Try the last 8 characters of the MAC address on the label. If that fails, the password was changed. Ask Tata Play Fiber support before resetting.
I cannot change the Wi-Fi from the router page: Use the Tata Play Fiber app. Some settings on ISP routers are managed through it.
The browser warns “not secure”: Many routers use plain http or a self-signed certificate, so this is normal on your own router. Do not continue on public Wi-Fi.
Wrong username or password: The admin password is not your Wi-Fi password. Check the router label. If you changed it and forgot it, see the reset guide.

How to keep your router secure

Change the default admin password and use a long one that you do not use anywhere else.
Keep the router firmware up to date.
Turn off remote management unless you really need it.
Use WPA2 or WPA3 for Wi-Fi.
