Image Resizer and Converter: Resize and Compress PNG, JPEG and WebP

Resize, rotate and convert images, including animated GIFs. Save as JPEG, PNG, WebP or GIF, or fit to a target file size. Your image never leaves your browser.

Choose, drop or paste an image and see it right away next to the new version, each with its size in pixels and in KB or MB. Set the width and height, a percentage or a common size, rotate or flip it, pick the format and quality, and download. Need a file under a limit such as 200 KB for an upload form? Type it or tap a common limit and press Fit to size. The new file size updates as you change every setting.

Drop an image here, paste one (Ctrl+V), or

Your image stays on your device. PNG, JPEG, WebP, GIF or BMP, up to 25 MB.

What it does

Frequently asked questions

Is my image uploaded?
No. The image is processed by your browser and never sent anywhere.
What quality should I choose?
80 to 85 is a good balance for photos. PNG is lossless, so it has no quality setting.
Are animated GIFs supported?
Yes. Choose GIF (keeps animation) or leave Save as on Same as the original. All frames are resized, rotated or flipped together and the timing is kept. Choosing JPEG, PNG or WebP saves only the first frame. GIFs allow 256 colors, so photographic GIFs are dithered and can look grainier than the original.
What are the limits?
Up to 25 MB, 12,000 pixels on a side and 50 megapixels in total, depending on your device. Animated GIFs are limited to about 500 frames and 60 million pixels in total (frames times width times height) to keep the browser responsive.
Why is the new file larger?
Making an image bigger, or saving a JPEG as PNG, can increase the file size. Lower the size, lower the quality, or use JPEG or WebP. The tool warns you when this happens.
How do I get an image under 200 KB?
Choose JPEG or WebP under Save as, type 200 with KB, and press Fit to size. The tool lowers the quality first and shrinks the picture only if it has to. The result shows the final size.
How do I make a square or passport-size picture?
Pick a size under Common sizes. The picture is cropped to fill the shape from the middle. Choose Fit inside to keep the whole picture with empty edges instead.
